Ceramic coating · Chardon shop

Ceramic coating in Chardon, Ohio, gloss that holds.

Paint correction first, then a coating that sheds water, road film and winter salt. Every wash after it is faster and gentler on the paint.

Prep is everything

Paint correction comes first.

A ceramic coating locks in whatever is under it, swirls included. So every coating starts with decontamination and machine polishing until the paint is worth sealing.

01

Decontaminate

Wash, iron remover and clay, down to bare, clean paint.

02

Correct

Machine polish to remove swirls and bring back true gloss.

03

Coat

Applied panel by panel and leveled under inspection light.

04

Cure

A controlled cure before the car sees weather.

In the bay

What the prep looks like.

Most of a coating appointment is the work you never see in the finished photo: washing, decontaminating and polishing the paint until it is worth sealing.

Living with it

What a coating changes.

Deeper gloss

A wet-look depth that wax can imitate for a week. Ceramic holds it.

Water behavior

Rain beads and sheets off, so there is less for grime to grab.

Easier washes

Less scrubbing, fewer wash-induced swirls and faster drying.

Chemical resistance

Bird drops, sap and winter salt sit on the coating, not the paint.

An honest note: ceramic is not chip protection. If rock chips are your worry, that is paint protection film, and the two work well together. Looking after a new coating? Read how to wash a car after a ceramic coating.

Questions

Ceramic coating, answered.

Does paint correction come with the coating?

Yes. Every coating starts with machine paint correction to remove swirls and light scratches before we coat, because the coating locks in what is under it. Deeper defects are assessed at drop-off.

How do I wash the car afterward?

Hand wash or touchless only, with a pH-neutral soap. Skip brush car washes, because the swirls they cause are exactly what the coating is protecting you from. The full guide is here.

Will it stop rock chips?

No. A coating is a thin, hard layer that helps with gloss, water and washing. For impact protection you want paint protection film.

Can I book the same day?

You can book online any time. Coatings are drop-off appointments; for same-day or next-day openings, call us and we will tell you what is available.
